Jericho Jackson

Longtime collaborators, storied North Carolina producer Khrysis and Detroit rapper eLZhi teamed up in late 2017 to form Jericho Jackson. Up to that point, eLZhi's decades-long pedigree included time with influential Detroit group Slum Village as well as several strong solo albums, but the years directly leading up to the formation of Jericho Jackson weren't easy ones. ELZhi had battled depression and watched fans show less support after a years-long delay on the delivery of his crowdfunded solo album Lead Poison, which money was collected for in 2013, but didn't see release until 2016. ELZhi and Khrysis had been working together and staying in touch for years, but with support and encouragement from mutual friend 9th Wonder, the two decided to come together in Khrysis' studio, and they spent over a month crafting the debut full-length from new project Jericho Jackson. The album was released in February of 2018.
