Jenny Conlee
Jenny Conlee is a Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and composer who rose to prominence as keyboardist and accordionist for the indie rock group The Decemberists, with whom she has spent over two decades. Born in Seattle and residing in the musical hub of Portland, she founded the Jenny Conlee Quartet and the accordion ensemble Paper Bellows, and has guested on albums and singles by The Minus 5, the Chieftains, Rhett Miller, and Boston Spaceships. Conlee has composed instrumental music for films (Voyagers Without Trace) and podcasts (99% Invisible) and has released two solo albums, 2015's French Kayaking Music (with husband Steve Drizos) and 2023's evocative Tides: Pieces for Accordion and Piano. In addition to her musical work, she has appeared on the television programs Portlandia, The Simpsons, and Parks and Recreation.
