Jeanick Fournier

Born in Roberval in the Saguenay region of Quebec in 1972, Canadian singer Jeannick Fournier gained national prominence after winning the second edition of Canada's Got Talent in 2022. In 2012, she first took her chances in the spotlight on the French edition of The Voice, but after failing to make headway, recorded her debut album as an independent artist, Mes Coups de Cœur, in 2015. The LP saw her cover French and English pop hits and included an original track in "Mes amours, mes enfants", dedicated to her two adopted children with Down's syndrome. In 2019, Jeanick Fournier, a palliative care nurse, launched the show Cinq Divas, which was followed by a singing tour where she performed songs by Céline Dion. In May 2022, she won the second season of Canada's Got Talent with her rendition of Queen's "The Show Must Go On", catapulting herself back into the spotlight and scoring a deal with Universal Music Canada to record the singles "I Surrender", "Moment" (with French and English versions), and "Ça ira", which charted in the Canadian Adult Contemporary top 40. A self-titled major label album was released in 2022 and went to number 13 in Canada. She followed the album with a competitor's spot on America's Got Talent: All-Stars in 2023, and her second major-label LP, Vivante, also arrived that year, propelled by the first single "Ne m’oublie pas." The LP was put together with the help of Toronto multi-instrumentalist and producer Aaron Paris (Drake, DJ Khaled, Kali Uchis) and Montréal-based producers Gautier Marinof, LucaTheProducer, and Charles Guay, among others.
