Jake Scott

Jake Scott is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Fayetteville, North Carolina. He kickstarted his music career while attending college by writing and recording songs on his own, with his music gaining traction online. His self-produced EP, Of Life and Love and Longing (2013), brought him much attention, appearing on the Billboard Heat-Seekers chart. Grammy Award-winning songwriter and record producer David Hodges saw the potential in Jake Scott, and he offered him a publishing deal in 2014. This led to his career as a songwriter for various artists, notably collaborating with Aloe Blacc on the lead single “Brooklyn in the Summer.” Jake Scott released his debut studio album Silhouettes and Sand in 2015. In 2018, he released a new song every month, leading to a huge rise in his monthly listeners from 50,000 to over 3 million by 2020 and culminating in a sold-out tour. Over the following years, Jake Scott's career flourished as he wrote and produced tracks for various renowned artists like Tove Lo, Jessie J, The Weeknd, and co-wrote Jessie J’s triple platinum single, “Bang Bang.” Collaborations with giants in the music industry such as Rihanna, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande further solidified his mark in the music world. 2023 saw the release of his highly anticipated fifth full-length album, Lavender, via Elektra Records.
