Jade Eagleson

Jade Eagleson's heartfelt, '90s-inspired country songs have taken him to the top of the Canadian country charts. Hailing from Bailieboro, Ontario, the singer/songwriter notched a series of country Top Tens before hitting number one with "Lucky" from his self-titled 2020 debut album. His 2021 follow-up, Honkytonk Revival, fared even better, yielding three more country chart-toppers including "More Drinkin' Than Fishin'" with fellow Canadian Dean Brody. Eagleson's success continued with his third album, Do It Anyway, which netted him three trophies at the 2023 CCMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year. Growing up in rural Bailieboro, Eagleson helped out at his grandparents' farm before heading west to Alberta to find work of his own. He eventually found his way back home to Ontario, where he began to forge a music career inspired by forebears like Paul Brandt, Alan Jackson, and George Strait. A 2017 Emerging Artist Award at the Boots and Hearts Festival helped him earn a major-label deal with Universal, which released his debut single, "Got Your Name on It," a year later. Additional singles followed, each one outperforming the last until 2020's "Lucky" gave Eagleson his first country number one. That song, along with the now-platinum-selling "Got Your Name on It" anchored his eponymous debut album, which became a major streaming hit. Despite this, Eagleson's second album, 2021's Honkytonk Revival, came out on the independent label Starseed Records. The '90s-centric neo-traditionalist set was buoyed by three consecutive country chart-topping singles, "All Night to Figure It Out," "More Drinkin' Than Fishin'," and "She Don't Know," tying him with Shania Twain, who pulled off the same feat on her second album. This helped him win Top Selling Canadian Album of the Year at the 2022 Canadian Country Music Association Awards. Eagleson stayed on top with his third outing, Do It Anyway, which came out the following year. Two more hit singles, "Shakin' in Them Boots" and "Rodeo Queen," helped him sweep the CCMAs, winning both Entertainer and Male Artist of the Year.
