Harvey Jordan

Jordan Harvey's road to country music came not from the American South, but from Edinburgh, Scotland where he grew up. The singer/songwriter's musical evolution in the U.K. saw him move from alt-rock to pop and, after relocating to Nashville, he combined his pop instincts with country twang. After signing with BMG, he issued his debut single "Alabama Girl" in 2022. Harvey hails from the rural town of South Queensferry, just west of Edinburgh. A fan of country music from a young age, his blue-collar upbringing often reflected the stories he heard in American country songs. His early inspirations ranged from Johnny Cash to Paul McCartney and by his mid-teens, he was playing in a rising alt-rock combo called the OK Social Club, who snagged a high-profile gig opening for Simple Minds. He soon began working as a more pop-driven solo act and in 2017 appeared on the popular BBC1 reality music contest Let It Shine. His desire to make country music eventually led him to Nashville where he picked up odd jobs and countless solo gigs before joining country outfit King Calaway. As the band's guitarist and co-vocalist, he gained several years of valuable experience opening for Garth Brooks and playing the American late-night and morning television circuit. Harvey left the group in 2021 and inked a record deal with BMG where he'd already been working as a songwriter. His first single for the label was 2022's "Alabama Girl."
