Grupo Menos É Mais, formed in 2016 in Gama, Distrito Federal, Brazil, has become a standout name in the pagode genre, celebrated for its vibrant performances and chart-topping releases. The group, composed of Duzão (vocals), Gustavo Góes, Jorge Farias, Paulinho Félix, and Ramon Alvarenga (percussion), started building its fanbase with independent releases like Ao Vivo no Buteco (2019) and achieved widespread recognition with Churrasquinho Menos É Mais (2020), which earned platinum certification in Brazil. Known for blending traditional pagode with contemporary appeal, their 2022 album Confia broke barriers, with the hit single "Lapada Dela" reaching the Top 3 on Brazilian streaming—a historic achievement for the genre. Their momentum continued in 2023 with Virado No Pagode, featuring collaborations with stars like Anitta, Luísa Sonza, and Xand Avião. This release solidified their position as innovators in Brazilian music, combining their roots with modern influences. With over 4.6 billion views on their channel and prestigious accolades like the Multishow Award for Best New Artist in 2020, Grupo Menos É Mais has redefined pagode’s reach, drawing massive audiences and proving the genre’s enduring popularity in Brazil and beyond. In 2024, the band released another live LP titled Churrasquinho 3 (Ao Vivo), which featured the popular track "Coração Partido (Corazón Partío)," a Portuguese cover of Alejandro Sanz's hit single "Corazón Partío."
