gRAB

The German black metal band Gràb was founded in Bavaria in 2015. The band's name comes from the traditional Bavarian word for "gray" or "old". Gràb is based on the black metal of the 1990s and describes its style as Bavarian black metal. The lyrics deal with themes such as nature, isolation, loneliness and spirituality. The band released their debut album Zeitlang in 2021, which is written entirely in Bavarian dialect. The term "Zeitlang" describes a deep longing or melancholy. At the beginning of 2025, Gràb returns with the album Kremess. The album reaches number 55 in the German charts.
