Flotilla
After Mark Lewis (drums, guitar, synths, vocals) and Terry Borden (vocals, guitar, bass, synth) left Idaho (the duo played on 1996's Three Sheets to the Wind and toured with Jeff Martin's band) to pursue an outlet that involved more of their input. They formed Flotilla with Karina Argudo (synthesizer, vocals) and Joe Kennedy (bass, vocals) to release a self-titled record on World Domination in 1999. Billing themselves as Eno-esque space rock, the record didn't really resemble Brian Eno that much, aside from putting a bizarre spin on typical pop song structures. It actually fell more in line with new wave revivalists like the Rentals and My Favorite.
