Fernanda Brum
Fernanda Brum is a contemporary Christian singer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Born on December 19, 1976, she studied music and theater as a child and released her first album, 1993's Feliz de Vez, when she was just 15 years old. Meu Bem Maior followed in 1995, and Fernanda Brum married Baptist pastor Emerson Pinheiro one year later. In addition to releasing albums like 1997's Colores del Amor and 1999's Corações Gratos as a member of the Christian group Voices, she continued pursuing her solo career during the late-1990s and beyond, releasing O Que Diz Meu Coração in 1999 and kickstarting a new decade with 2001's Feliz de Vez. One year later, she earned her first platinum-certified record with 2002's Quebrantado Coração, a landmark record in Brazil's Christian music catalog. She continued juggling multiple projects during the twenty-first century, maintaining her Voices membership with appearances on records like 2001's Coração de Criança and 2007's Sobreviverei while also recording solo records like the 2004 triple-platinum live album Apenas um Toque and the 2006 studio release Profetizando às Nações. She also formed Amigas, a side project featuring Brazilian gospel singer Eyshila, during the decade's latter half, releasing 2008's platinum-certified Amigas and 2009's gold-selling Amigas 2 with the duo. Fernanda Brum then earned two Latin Grammy Awards with her own material during the 2010s, with 2015's Da Eternidade and 2017's Som da Minha Vida both being named "Best Christian Album in the Portuguese Language." She released a pair of EPs — Ao Vivo no YouTube Music Night and Águas Profundas — in 2020, then issued the non-album singles "Pra Onde a Gente Vai?" and "Toda Morte Vencida Gera Vida" in 2021.
