El Polaco
El Polaco is a singer and songwriter of contemporary tropical Argentine music. He was born Ezequiel Iván Cwirkaluk on May 23, 1987, in Villa Caraza, Buenos Aires Province. He began his career at age 17 as the lead singer for the group Una de Kal. In 2006, he released his debut solo album titled Vuelve, Te Lo Pido. The album’s success led to El Polaco quickly recording and releasing the follow-up album Agradeciendo a Dios. This opened the door to an extremely prolific music career. In the year 2008, he released Sigo Por el Objetivo, followed by Molestando (2009) and 3 Años y Algo Más (2010). Also in 2010, he recorded the song “La Zurda de Oro” for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. In the year 2012, he hit a professional milestone by selling out the legendary Buenos Aires venue Luna Park Stadium. In 2016, he recorded the song “Dale Tu Amor” as a collaboration with cumbia pop group Agapornis. Around this time, he also started a successful career as an actor, appearing in Argentine TV shows such as Las Estrellas (2017), Millennials (2018), and La 1-5/18 (2021). In 2022, El Polaco recorded the song “Ya No Quiero Verte,” a duet with singer and actress “La China” Suárez.
