El Plan de la Mariposa

Formed in 2008 in Necochea by the Andersen siblings—Sebastián (lead vocals), Camila (vocals), Valentín (guitar/vocals), Santiago (violin/guitar), and Máximo (keys/accordion)—and later joined by Andrés Nor (bass) and Julián Ropero (drums), El Plan de la Mariposa quickly stood out in the Argentine rock scene with their mix of psychedelic textures, folk energy, and socially conscious lyrics. Their debut album Brote (2011) laid the foundation for a sound that grew richer with Trance Habitante (2013) and Danza de Antalgia (2015), the latter featuring key collaborations and helping them break into major festivals like Rock en Baradero and Lollapalooza. With Devorando Intensidad (2017), the band embraced a rawer, more visceral edge that paved the way for their first European tour. In 2020 they released Estado de Enlace, followed by the live album Enlace en Estado Vivo, Vol. 2 in 2021. Between 2022 and 2024, their Gira Incandescente tour saw them play sold-out shows at Luna Park and support major acts like Ciro y los Persas at Estadio Vélez. Their 2024 album Correntada introduced fan favorites like “Pulpo,” “Abrazame,” and “Serenata de una ruta larga,” and in 2025 they dropped two new live singles—“Niño Abuelo” and “Llega llega llega”—recorded at Obras.
