Color Film
Color Film was formed in New York in 2012 by former Glassjaw frontman Daryl Palumbo and Men, Women & Children multi-instrumentalist Richard Penzone. Taking inspiration from the art-rock and pop scenes, the duo delivered their debut single, "Until You Turn Blue," the following year on Calm + Collect. Although they shared songs via the internet over the next couple of years, it wasn't until 2017 that they delivered a raft of new material. Color Film signed a deal with Epitaph to release their debut album, Living Arrangements, in mid-2017. The album saw the pair shifting even closer to pop -- a world away from the alternative metal of Palumbo's Glassjaw -- bringing in synths, samples, and smooth bass hooks while managing to keep the original art-rock sound that characterized their earlier material.
