Camera Shy
Camera Shy is an indie pop duo from Oakland, California featuring Alexandra Morte and Nick Bassett, both of whom had previously performed together in the shoegaze band Whirr. After forming in 2014, they quickly signed with Whirr's label Run for Cover and released their debut EP, Jack-O-Lantern, in the summer of that year. Taking influence from bands like the Softies, the Cardigans, and the Sundays, their mix of heavily reverbed acoustic and electric guitar provides a gentle backdrop for Morte's dreamy vocals. Expanding their sound to include a rhythm section, they delivered their self-titled full-length debut in July 2015.
