Branco
Born in 1993, Benjamin Cimatu is a hip-hop performer from Denmark who goes by the name Branco. He co-founded the rap group MellemFingaMuzik with Ibrahim “Stepz” Kucukavci in 2011 and released the album Militant Mentalitet in 2015, quickly reaching the top of the Danish Albums Chart. Later on, the duo teamed up with B.O.C. Collective’s Benny Jamz and Gilli to form the hip-hop supergroup Molotov Movement, who released the EP M.o.l.o. in 2018. A year later, Branco reached the top of the Danish charts with the albums Baba Business (2019) and Euro Connection, released in 2020. In the following years, he returned with a string of standalone singles, scoring two Number 1 hits with “Hundo” and “Bando Bitch,” both included in his 2021 chart-topping sophomore effort Baba Business 2. That same year, Branco returned with the long-player 10 Years, featuring acts such as Miklo, Sami, Stepz, and BackRoad Gee. The album contained the single “Honey (I’m Home),” which broke into the Danish Top 10 shortly after its release.
