After being signed to Jive Records courtesy of Mickey "MeMpHitz" Wright (head of Hitz Committee and the A&R man responsible for artists like T-Pain and Huey), R&B singer Asia Cruise, who hailed from Jacksonville, FL, entered into a marketing plan that kept her identity a secret -- a black cartoon silhouette served as her MySpace profile picture -- until her full-length debut, Who Is Asia Cruise (which was preceded by the song "Selfish"), came out in early 2008.
