Annabelle

Born in Paris on July 26, 1967, Annabelle Mouloudji is the daughter of singer and actor Marcel Mouloudji (1922-1994) and actress Nicole Tessier (b. 1950). She began her career as a model and actress, appearing in Michaël Schock's film Un été d'enfer ( 1984) and Michel Lang's À nous les garçons (1985). In 1987, a far cry from her father's realist songs, she launched a musical career under her first name Annabelle, with the danceable pop single "Fuis, Lawrence d'Arabie", which reached number 12 in the Top 50. Two more singles for the Carrère label followed, "Casanova solo" (1988) and "Impunément " (1989), which was the subject of a long video-clip. In 2011, these three albums were compiled in the Best of Annabelle - Le Meilleur des Années 80. In 1989, she took part in Pierre Delanoë's charity song "Liban " for the victims of the civil war. After another film role in Jean-Louis Guillermou's La Messe en si mineur (1990) and in TV movies and series such as La Crim (1999), Annabelle Mouloudji produced the children's album La Vie à Découvrir by Victor and Amandine (2000), and in 2014 collaborated on the collective album En Souvenir des Souvenirs - Hommage à Mouloudji, where she performed duets with Alain Chamfort and Frédéric Lô. In 2020, she worked with guitarist and singer Bruno Blum on the songs for the album La Bombe Glacée, including the track "Si je reste", a reggae adaptation of The Clash's classic "Should I Stay or Should I Go". The same year saw the publication of her autobiography La P'tite Coquelicot. Since 2015, Annabelle Mouloudji has been teaching singing.
