Amber Dotson
A native of Garland, TX, singer/songwriter Amber Dotson grew up listening to country music. After winning several local singing competitions, she moved to Nashville while she was in her early twenties, eventually signing a songwriting deal with Sony/Tree. Dotson had all but decided to leave the music business when George Strait heard some of her demos and asked her to be one of his opening acts on his 2005 tour. Her soulful, gritty voice also secured her a recording deal with Capitol Nashville, which released her debut single, "I'll Try Anything," early in 2005.
