ALLMO$T

The hip-hop quartet Allmo$t are a band formed by Filipino rappers Crakky and Russell and expat Filipino singers Clien and Jom who are based in Italy and Canada respectively. Through an online collaboration the band came up with the idea for the song 'Dalaga' which Clien then promoted throughout his circle of contacts in Italy. The track became a minor hit but it wasn't until the band launched an online invitation for people to submit their own video interpretations of the song through #DalagangPilipinaChallenge that the song became a viral hit. The surge in popularity was primarily due to Filipino TV celebrities such as Heart Evangelista and Max Collins taking the challenge. The challenge itself involves what appears to be contestants performing slow-motion gurning impressions to camera and has proved hugely popular amongst music lovers in the Philippines.
