Pat Metheny
O guitarrista e compositor americano Pat Metheny é um dos músicos de jazz de maior sucesso do mundo. Sem medo de correr riscos, a assinatura musical de Metheny mescla uma harmonia singular com sons afro-latinos e brasileiros, rock, funk, músicas folclóricas e jazz. Seu álbum de estreia Bright Size Life (1976), e o autointitulado Pat Metheny Group, de 1978, marcaram presença nas paradas. O PMG ganhou seu primeiro Grammy pelo álbum Offramp, de 1982. Eles colaboraram com Ornette Coleman em Song X, de 1986, Still Life (Talking), de 1987 e Letter from Home, de 1989. Unity Band (com o saxofonista Chris Potter, o baterista Antonio Sanchez e o baixista Ben Williams), de 2012, ganhou o Grammy de Melhor Álbum Instrumental de Jazz.
