She debuted with Straight in 2015 and paired with Brazilian guitarist Vinicius Gomes for 2022's Home. Born in South Korea, Jeon grew up studying piano, Korean traditional singing, and Korean traditional percussion from a young age. After high school, she further honed her distinctive style studying classical composition at the University of Music and Fine Art in Graz, Austria, and jazz vocals at the Music University in Basel, Switzerland. She also spent time at the Berklee College of Music, where she was a Quincy Jones CJ&E fellow and was awarded the Billboard Endowed Award. In 2015, she released her debut solo album, Straight, which showcased her quintet featuring trumpeter Phil Grenadier. Based in Switzerland, she was a member of Wolfgang Muthspiel's Focusyear Ensemble in 2018. It was while in the group that she made a connection with Brazilian-born guitarist Vinicius Gomes. Together, the duo began combining their shared interests in Brazilian jazz, folk, and ECM-style jazz. In 2022, they debuted their work with Home on Greenleaf Music.
