Jacob Sartorius
Idioma disponível: inglêsAfter rising to fame on social media as a preteen, singer and aspiring actor Jacob Sartorius issued his debut single, "Sweatshirt," in 2016 at the age of 13. Continuing to combine his camera-ready charisma with a playful pop and relatable lyrics about everyday life, his first EP, The Last Text EP, followed a year later. By the arrival of his fourth EP, 2019's Where Have You Been?, Sartorius had toured internationally and accumulated tens of millions of followers across social media platforms. Sticking to short-form releases, he followed up with stand-alone tracks including 2020's "Over U" and 2021's "youtube & bbq chips." Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Reston, Virginia, Jacob Sartorius (born Rolf Jacob Sartorius) began building a social media following in 2015, when he started regularly posting videos of himself lip-syncing popular songs. Garnering millions of followers across multiple video-capable platforms before he turned 13, Sartorius recorded and released his first single, "Sweatshirt," as an official teenager in April 2016. The song, in which he offers a girl his sweatshirt, landed on the Billboard streaming charts on its way to peaking at number 90 on the Hot 100. Sartorius soon performed his first live shows, and that July he released his second single, "Hit or Miss." It went to number 72 in the U.S. and 76 in Canada. Along with a remix of "Sweatshirt," the song was included on his debut EP, The Last Text EP, which arrived in early 2017 on T3 Music Group. The EP landed in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200, reaching as high as number 32 while topping the Independent Albums chart. Later that year, "Hit Me Back" featuring Blackbear was among the singles attached to October 2017's Left Me Hangin' EP. A month later, Sartorius made his national television debut on MTV's TRL. Songs including "Better with You" -- the title track to his third EP -- followed in 2018, as did a successful world tour. The EP arrived on T3 that November. Moving to Crazy Cool Records, Sartorius released another EP, Where Have You Been?, in May 2019. A series of stand-alone singles followed, including 2021's "youtube & bbq chips," which earned the singer his first explicit lyrics tag.
