חוה אלברשטיין
Chava Alberstein was born Ewa Alberstein on December 8, 1947, in Szczecin, Poland, is a celebrated Israeli singer, lyricist, composer, and musical arranger renowned for her profound contributions to the folk, and folk rock genres. Her family moved to Israel when she was four, and it was there that Chava Alberstein's illustrious music career blossomed. Over the years, she has become one of Israel's most respected and influential musicians, known for her poignant lyrics and emotive performances. Among her vast discography, notable albums include London (1989), Foreign Letters (2001), and the critically acclaimed End of the Holiday (2004). Her tracks "Like a Wildflower" (1975) and "London" (1989) have left a significant mark on Israeli music, echoing her unique voice and storytelling prowess. Chava Alberstein's career spans over five decades, during which she has recorded more than 60 albums, becoming a voice that narrates the Israeli experience with depth, sensitivity, and a universal appeal that transcends geographical boundaries.
