Being constantly on the road for his music while also perpetually on the move throughout the Sahel region of Africa is the norm. Bombino has performed at Bonnaroo, Coachella, Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Roskilde and Newport Folk Festival, and two of his previous albums were produced by Dave Longstreth (Dirty Projectors) and Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys). His list of fans on record includes Keith Richards, Stevie Wonder, Robert Plant, Arcade Fire and many more. After Deran, a record that turned him into the first-ever Grammy-nominated artist from Niger, Bombino is back with his new album entitled Sahel, after the African region spanning East-West from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea.
