Cats on Trees
Cats on Trees is a French indie rock duo formed by pianist Nina Goern and drummer Yohan Hennequin in 2007. Hailing from the city of Toulouse, they first rose to attention in 2010 when they were named Best New Act at the Printemps de Bourges festival. Preceded by the single "Sirens Call," their eponymous studio debut saw the light in the fall of 2013 and marked an auspicious beginning for the duo as it cracked the French Top 10 and earned them a nomination to the 2014 Victoires de la Musique Awards in the category of Revelation of the Year. In early 2016, Goern and Hennequin became coaches on the reality show The Voice Belgique. After almost two years of radio silence, Cats on Trees returned in 2018 with their electro-pop-tinged sophomore effort Neon, which reached Number 17 on the French Albums Chart thanks to singles like "Keep on Dancing" and "Blue." Following the release of lead single "Please, Please, Please" (2021), a third album titled Alie appeared in 2022 and went to Number 40 in France.
