Despite all four original members of Sacred Oath reuniting during the early 21st century -- resulting in the release of an all-new studio album in 2007, Darkness Visible -- it turned out not to be an entirely long-term proposition, as both guitarist Glen Cruciani and bassist Lou Liotta hit the high road. But singer/guitarist Rob Thorne and drummer Kenny Evans decided to stick to their guns, and hired two newcomers, Bill Smith and Scott Waite, who took Cruciani and Liotta's respective positions. Instead of introducing the new version of Sacred Oath via a studio album, fans got their first sonic sampling via the group's first-ever live release, 2008's Till Death Do Us Part. Recorded on November 3, 2007 in Dittigheim, Germany, the ten-track disc features standouts from both the group's cult classic debut, A Crystal Vision ("Two Powers," "The Omen"), as well as selections from their reunion album, Darkness Visible ("Battle Cry," "Queen of the Night"). They may have endured half their lineup getting a shake-up, but as heard throughout Till Death Do Us Part, Sacred Oath's metallic attack remains very much intact.
