An unfortunately slick and forgettable collection of holiday tunes, cloyingly done in a soulless pop-country style. Fans of their crossover hit "Amazed" will know what to expect and will probably find it enjoyable, but those who respect the band's honky tonk upbringing will wonder where their earthy soul disappeared to. They sound most natural playing their own material like "Reason for the Season" and the title track, but on the whole, This Christmas Time feels as comfortable as coal in your stocking.
