YoungBoy Never Broke Again's first release on Cash Money is billed as a collaborative mixtape with the iconic Southern rap label's co-founder, Birdman. While Birdman executive produced the project and appears on a handful of tracks, mostly at the beginning, the mixtape largely feels like a YoungBoy solo release, and delivers what fans of the highly prolific artist have come to expect. His raps are generally intense and volatile, yet show a more vulnerable side that is explored on tracks like the almost ballad-like "Safe Then Sorry." The long-promised mixtape appeared in December of 2021 and quickly charted in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200.
