This entry in the Suicide-covers EP series launched to celebrate the 70th birthday of Suicide vocalist Alan Vega features Lydia Lunch (who was a late-1970s New York No Wave contemporary of the band) tackling the seminal duo’s classic first-album tune, “Frankie Teardrop.” Also included is a rare early demo from Suicide themselves, unveiling the same song in embryonic form (and even longer than their 10-½-minute album version), under the working title “Frankie Teardrop vs. the Space Alien.”
