Márcio Faraco
Máracio Faraco's father was in the military, but he was also a guitarist who bought his son a guitar at age ten and taught him to play. The family moved around Brazil when Faraco was a child, exposing him to various styles of music, before settling in Brasilia. He attended law school for two years to please his family, but ultimately chose to pursue a career in music, moving to Rio de Janeiro at age 25. There he found some success as a songwriter, but not as a performer. He moved to Paris, where he met Didier Sustrac, with whom he toured for more than four years. Finally, he was able to record his first solo album, Ciranda, which was released on Blue Thumb Records in July 2000.© William Ruhlmann /TiVo Read more
