Claire Pelletier

Born in the small village of Saint Pascal de Kamouraska in Quebec in 1959, Claire Pelletier is a Francophone singer whose career got started as a member of the folk outfit Tracadièche (a group that included members Raymond Paquet and Dan Allard). She went on to act as vocalist for a number of Quebec musicians before releasing her debut album, Murmures d'Histoire, with collaborator, composer, and husband Pierre Duchesne in 1996. She released the album Galileo in 2000, and followed that up with three tracks on the soundtrack Une Jeune Fille à la Fenêtre in 2001. Her first live album hit stores in 2003, and her third full-length appeared the following year. In 2007, Pelletier made her first foray into Christmas music with the album Le Premier Noël.
