Another violent, high-intensity amalgam of hip-hop beats, corrosive riffs, and gritty lyrics delivered in alternating barks and shouts, Toxic Boogaloo makes it three-for-three for the confrontational New York duo City Morgue. In less than 20 brisk minutes, ZillaKami and SosMula lay waste to each track, swapping harsh verses packed with scare-your-parents lyrics (buckle up for "All Killer No Filler" and "You Can SMD") laid atop ominous, anxiety-provoking production provided by Thraxx, Yung Germ, WNDWS, and Powers Pleasant. From the additively bouncy "Yellow Piss" to the belligerent "Crank," this is the unrelenting soundtrack to back-alley fist fights, soulless sex, law-breaking, and any number of socially frowned-upon activities one could imagine.
