This is the debut solo album by the Essex-born singer/songwriter and social media personality who started out performing in rock acts such as the Morning After, Blessed by a Broken Heart, and Close Your Eyes. After amassing a sizable online presence, Ryder's career was given a further boost when he finished second in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest with "Space Man." That U.K. number two single is featured here, alongside its soul-inspired follow-up -- "Somebody" -- on an album that also features material previously included on his 2021 EP The Sun's Gonna Rise.
