REMY ZERO is all-over-the-map alterna-pop--hi-fi mixing with low-fi, squalls of feedback placed opposite gentle acoustic guitars, and breathy, sometimes elaborately layered vocals; the whole thing very psychedelic in the best sense of the word. A major influence seems to be Brian Eno circa HERE COME THE WARM JETS, especially in "Chloroform Days," where a soaring instrumental melody gradually rises out of the dissonant chaos of the backing track.
