Though their name might be different, it's hard not to recognize the grunge revival sound of Superheaven as Daylight, and while they might be legally obligated to go under a different name, their sound is still as driving as it ever was. With a new name and a slight change to the cover artwork, the band makes its grand reintroduction with Jar, a reissue of its debut full-length from its previous moniker. All the sounds of the original are still intact here, so fans of the band who picked up the original aren't missing out on anything new by taking a pass, and new fans don't need to dig around for the original 2013 pressing of the album, making this a pretty straightforward reissue of a solid slab of '90s-influenced grunge goodness.
