After the first edition of Illusions which was very much focussed on funky groove, disco and house, Yoann Feynman has set about Volume 2 in a much more planned and cerebral way. Built as a sort of ballad, this EP, running for just shy of 15 minutes, also takes a detour through trip hop, and hip-hop too (with a rock-solid appearance by Freddie Gibbs on The Wave)! Everything here is stormy and intense. The dancefloor spirit of Volume 1 is forgotten: this time, Feynman shows his tempestuous side.
