MCA Special Products' I Think I'll Just Stay Here and Drink contains ten highlights from Hag's late-'70s and early-'80s recordings for MCA Records. Although there are a couple of hits here -- "I'm Always on a Mountain When I Fall," "I Think I'll Just Stay Here and Drink" -- the song selection feels scattershot and the album plays accordingly, jumping from the sublime to the merely passable in a matter of songs. Still, the good stuff outweighs the weaker material and makes the compilation worthwhile for budget-minded listeners looking for a sampler of MCA material.
