This wasn't quite a disaster, but it was too close for comfort. The confidence and renewed vigor that The Spinners had shown in the 1980s seemed shaken, although the lightweight ballads and uninspired uptempo material they received for this date may have had something to do with that. The album didn't flop as quickly as its predecessor, but it didn't last long on the charts either.
