Flamenco Fantasia exhibits the whole spectrum of the gypsy flamenco tradition. It is a passionate, lively work of song and dance. Featured are two great artists of the genre: guitarist Reuben Romero and dancer Lydia Torea, along with other singers and percussionists. The album captures the energy and spontaneity that often exist between dancer and guitarist. Each piece is an excellent example of the varied moods and styles of flamenco, from its roots in a structured Moorish sound to the newest experiments in the use of percussion in flamenco.
