This was Ricardo Ray's first recording in Puerto Rico, the one that signaled his move to the island for the next four years. More fireworks come from this celebrated combination; the title tune was an alternative to his waning Tico-Alegre years (this was recorded by United Artists). It features many exciting moments; trumpet star Pedro Chaparro chews up the scenery in "Ricardo y Chaparro" (he would continue leading the band after Ray and Cruz's departure to Puerto Rico). This was Miki Vimari's first collaboration with the dynamic duo.
