Secret

Comprising members Jun Hyo-seong, Jung Ha-na, Song Ji-eun and Han Sun-hwa, Secret were a best-selling K-pop girl group formed by TS Entertainment in 2009. Released that year, the group's buzzy debut single "I Want You Back" went to number 27 on South Korea's Circle Chart and was quickly followed by "Magic," which rocketed to number two on the same chart and was nominated at the 12th Mnet Asian Music Awards for Best Dance Performance by a Female Group. The group stepped into chart-topping popstar mode for next single "Madonna," which went to number one and saw them take home a Bonsang award at the 20th Seoul Music Awards. The success of the two aforementioned singles ultimately helped Secret to win the newcomer award at the 25th Golden Disc Awards in 2010, with the Madonna EP arriving that same year. The group unveiled their debut studio album, Moving in Secret, in 2011, which was produced by Kim Tae-sung and propelled by the hit Betty Boop-inspired title track, "Love is More." The following year saw the release of two singles, "Shy Boy"—which earned the group their first win in Mnet's M! Countdown and SBS's Inkigayo—and "Starlight Moonlight," which won the Songs of the Year Award in the 1st Gaon Chart Awards (June) and a Digital Bonsang award at the 26th Golden Disk Awards. The group's second studio album and first Japanese release, Welcome to Secret Time, arrived in 2012 with several EPs following in its wake: 2012's Poison, 2013's Letter from Secret, and 2014's Secret Summer. In September 2016, Han Sun-hwa left the group, with the other members following over legal disputes with TS Entertainment. Secret disbanded in 2018.
