Carols for Christmas Eve is a terrific collection of standard Christmas carols as tunes, performed with grace and elegance by Eileen Farrell. Throughout the entire album, she stuns with her voice. It may be a little too adventurous for listeners who just want background holiday party music, but it's unquestionably a beautiful effort from a talented vocalist.
