Rankin waited four years to release this somewhat disappointing release. With heavyweights Don Costa and Arif Mardin producing, the album continues Rankin's exploration of the standard style employed on the successful previous Kenny Rankin Album, though this time with musical support only in the form of bass, drums, keyboards, and Rankin's guitar. Why the album marked such a dramatic downturn in Rankin's career is unclear. What is equally puzzling is that Rankin would wait almost eight years to release his next record.
