Zia
Born Park Ji Hye on July 21, 1986, in Seoul, the South Korean singer-songwriter known as Zia champions an elegant, traditional strain of K-pop balladry that has seen her put her crystalline voice to an array of original releases and soundtracks over the past two decades. After making in-roads into music at the 2003 BoA-jjang Contest, where she placed first overall, she was hired to feature on KCM's song '물론' and later that year released a song for the soundtrack to Shadowless Sword, the martial arts epic starring Lee Seo-jin, Yoon So-yi, and Shin Hyun-joon. She stepped out with her debut album Voice of Heaven in 2007, issued through the agency Taewon Entertainment and propelled by successful ballad "물끄러미", before unveiling the follow-up, Road Movie, in 2008. The release of new mini album Orchestra in 2009 preceded a label change and she signed with LOEN Entertainment, christening her new label home with the top ten Avancer album in 2011. Two more EPs followed – Anemone (2012) and Falling in Fall (2014) – before the release of her third album, 11 Days Have Passed (11일이 지나고). She has since amassed a string of singles, including 2021's "Become Someone's" (누군가의 무엇이 되어) for the River Where the Moon Rises OST Part 1, and 2022's "Even If I Can't Have You" (가질 수 없어도) for the Kiss Sixth Sense OST Part 2.
