Yaki-Da
Fresh from Ace of Base's across-the-board success during the 1993-1994 period, the group's main producer, Jonas Berggren, set out to create an unofficial offshoot in Yaki-Da, and recruited singers Marie Knutsen and Linda Schönberg for the project. The duo released its debut album, Pride, in 1995; lead single "I Saw You Dancing" was a moderate hit in some European countries and found minor success in the U.S. Subsequent singles like "Pride of Africa" and "Show Me Love" failed to make an impact, however. Their 1998 Berggren-less follow-up, A Small Step for Love, was similarly ignored.
