The Few Against Many

A melodic death metal band with periodic orchestral inclinations, the Few Against Many was founded in 2008 by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Christian Älvestam, after his departure from Scar Symmetry, but the well-traveled musician has also filled his résumé with Miseration, Solar Dawn, Torchbearer, and nearly a dozen additional underground heavy metal bands. So too his bandmates, which, as of the recording of the following year's debut album, Sot, included lead guitarist Patrik Gardberg (DivineFire, Torchbearer), bassist Anders Edlund (Angel Blake, Incapacity, etc.), drummer Jani Stefanovic (The Weakening, Am I Blood, Solution .45, etc.), and backing vocalist Pär Johansson (Belsemar, Satariel, etc.).
