Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree family
Parisian indie pop provocateur David Sztanke (aka Tahiti Boy) left his studies in France to study music at New York City's esteemed performing arts conservatory Juilliard. It was there that he laid the foundations for his genre-bending retro-pop outfit Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family, a constantly rotating collective that dutifully spins psych-tinged '70s melodies into modern-day indie pop confections. Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family's debut album, Good Children Go to Heaven, arrived in 2008, followed by 2009's 1973 EP, which featured appearances from TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe and Justice's Xavier de Rosnay.
