Srihari
Born Rajesh S. Dhupad in Mumbai, India on May 5, 1964, the singer, songwriter, producer and label CEO is better known as Srihari (not to be confused with the actor of the same name). While his main language is Punjabi, he has recorded in many different languages including Hindi, Tamil, and Teluga. A good portion of his 40+ album catalog contains devotional and spiritual material. Srihari is the CEO of Symphony Recording Company, a business that was first established as a retail store but evolved into a successful music production house. Srihari’s first single was “Kanna Senthamarai Kanna” in 1989, which lead to a series of successful singles and albums. His first massive hit album was 1996’s Kattum Katti, which remains his most popular release. He continues to be release hits including 2021’s “ஆடி பிறந்ததம்மா”, which was streamed several hundred thousand times on social media in the first three weeks of release.
