Padma Newsome
Australian native Padma Newsome is an avant-leaning arranger/composer and multi-instrumentalist (violin, viola, and vocals) as well as a founding member of the experimental chamber ensemble the Clogs. Originally having studied music at the University of Adelaide in Australia, Newsome also earned several master's level degrees from Yale University while he was there on a Fulbright Scholarship. His works have been performed by orchestras around the world, and as a member of the Clogs Newsome has been featured on such albums as 2001's Thom's Night Out, 2003's Lullaby for Sue, 2004's Stick Music, and 2006's Lantern.
