Noor Shimaal (translated: Northern Lights) may be the northernmost band specializing in the belly dance music of the Middle East. Noor Shimaal has amassed a vast repertoire that includes traditional and non-traditional music from Nubia, West Algeria, Turkey, West Sudan, Maghreb, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, and Egypt.
